Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience with the RS Black. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
Currently, the RS Black only includes an upstroke stop. We understand how a downstroke stop could be beneficial in preventing accidental over-pulling of the sharpening arm.
I'm happy to inform you that we are actively working on implementing a downstroke stop feature in future versions of the RS Black. We are exploring different design options to ensure it is effective and user-friendly.
In the meantime, you can try using a longer guide rod with an additional stop collar. This might require some modification or custom fabrication, but it could be a temporary solution.
